Different Medical Technician Training Levels And Their Responsibilities
Medical technicians are professional and trained individuals who save sick people’s lives during emergency medical situations. Medical technician training is the part of their education where they learn to react in emergency situations. An emergency situation could be anything from a severe accident, heart attack, trauma to others. In such situation people need technicians who are trained and can handle the situation properly. There are three levels of training that they have to go through.
- Basic
- Intermediate
- Paramedic
Basic:
Basic training is the lower level of medical technician training. In the basic training technicians learn to handle situations like respiratory issue, trauma emergencies, heart attach, accidents and others. The training hone their skills of handling serious medical issues. In the training session, practical and theoretical knowledge is absorbed by technicians. Procedures such as CPR or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, shock management, hemorrhage control and others. They deal with patiences under the supervision of experts who are in the upper level.
Intermediate:
In the intermediate level candidates learn to handle more serious issues such as gun shot cases, burn cases, and others. They learn to handle very serious situations. They handle both children and adults in a professional way. In emergency ambulance, they try to drive to the patient and safely take them to facility center. Until patients reach the hospital they are responsible to take emergency action to make sure that the patient stay alive. Intermediate is the upper level of medical technician training.
Paramedic:
Paramedic medical technician training is the highest level of training. Their main fields are cardiology, trauma, medications and others. In this upper level, candidates learn how to handle patiences and their medications. Depending upon the locality, the course hours vary.
