Rather then just being a medical technician within your city, you can also travel and this is especially true when joining the Air Force. With them, you will often be relocating and be prepared to face danger each day. Since the Air Force is constantly on the move, with different camps set up – they will require cooks, computer programmers, and medical assistants as well. This is where your job comes in.
With all the weapons, explosives, and other dangerous items or obstacles surrounding the Air Force, people are bound to get hurt. There is just no way around it. This is one of the most dangerous jobs and with so many people getting injured or even killed – you are left to tend to those who have minor to severe injuries. You’ll be administering medicine, wrapping up wounds, and even reviving people with CPR skills or equipment.
Of course, this is a position in the military service but this does not mean you must be registered in the air force. The only requirements is for the OPM or Office of Personal Management for civilians. You will learn more about this in your training.
You’ll get hands on training on how to use advanced equipment for the medical industry. Be prepared to carry around heavy medical kits, and even transport injured people to and from the hospitals in the area. While aircraft is already available for this, you must do your best to make sure it is a safe trip for them – going a few feet or even a few miles to the aircraft.
Working in the Air Force will give you great benefits but you must keep in mind that this job won’t be easy. Expect to go through extensive training since you will be the main medical assistant for pilots who are in need of assistance in the medical field. Most often, they are too ill to treat themselves and this is why they depend on you,
